Maybe some of you heard about AFS Intercultural Program's recent fiasco. They sent a healthy highschooler to Egypt for a year of foreign exchange, and four months later he was flown home at 97 pounds, and hospitalized for two weeks, where he managed to regain 20 pounds.

Description: A lot of misconceptions exist about different cultures because people do not always take the time to get the whole picture. The more we learn about other cultures the less misconceptions and stereotypes there will be! Educating yourself about different cultures will not only make you a more knowledgeable and tolerant person, but you will gain respect for cultures and the people who are a part of them.
