Description:   According to FAO estimates, 75% of the genetic diversity of crop plants were lost in the last century. Saving seeds (especially organic, open-pollinated, heritage varieties) will help to preserve the genetic diversity of the plants that feed us and will ensure that the most resilient varieties of crops will survive in the face of climate change.
