Date Created:  2009-10-22 		Description:   The 100-letter dash is a catchy name I've put on the act of letter writing- en masse. I'm working towards motivating people to write to the governments of troubled areas to try and promote change. I feel it would be more effective to send many individual letters, rather than one large one. The "100" in the 100-letter dash could easily be changed to 200, 1000, 5000.

Your MP (or MPP or MLA and even your Mayor, Premier, and Prime Minister!) are supposed to represent YOU, their constituent, not necessarily their party. You have the right to voice your opinion on an issue and they have the responsibility to listen... USE IT! Even a short, well written email can do the trick. It's also always good to end it with, "thank you for representing the voices of your constituents in Parliament". It's a good reminder of what their job is!
